We worked with these clients when they owned a large, antique-filled Victorian farmhouse. Last year they came to us with a new challenge.
They had sold their home to purchase another country home. But when this plan didn’t materialize, they purchased a contemporary Spanish style home in the Oakland hills. They soon realized that none of their furnishings would work, and called us to navigate a new direction.
Some of their friends recommended contemporary or Spanish style furnishings, but we knew that they would not be happy with a modern interior.
We recommended a transitional design direction and furnishings with timeless styling. As they aren’t sure how long they will be living in this new home, remodeling was limited to mill work, painting and changing out all the light fixtures.
